Bad news everybody, we are closing! Come see us on the few Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays left before we end our run in Nob Hill on the Day of the Dead (November 2nd). We’re grateful for all the support we’ve gotten from all of you and our neighbors, and that we got to educate so many people how easy plant care can be. We lived, we laughed, we loved, but all good things must come to an end and it’s time to take that darn sign down! We appreciate you all and we hope we’ve changed the trajectory of your lives as much as you’ve changed ours - you’ve got a frond in us. So save them tears, water your plants, and keep on keepin’ on. So long, and thanks for all the vibes!

We will no longer be open Thursdays, but we are opening up plant pickups by appointment so we can help you get your favorite plants when the timing is right! DM us to schedule! Polly want a cracker? This swashbuckling alocasia has all the heart of a pirates’ parrot minus the lip! (Kinda 😉) X marks the spot for this treasure, and the island you’ll find it on is in the middle of Nob Hill!

“Can I eat this?” No - well, maybe. You can definitely drink it though! Throughout history our species loves to find interesting and creative ways to prepare plants for consumption, and this unassuming vine has a long history of being boiled and drank - that’s right! This is a jasmine, the fragrant flowers have been used in tea since the fifth century! Interested in making your own tea from scratch? You just have to wait for this lovely vine to flower and there you go! Teatime.

Ever feel like the Earth is just some alien’s menagerie? Maybe a galactic wildlife refuge? Just me? Well no matter, provide enrichment for yourself by decking out your habitat with some foliage! Foliage provides the best enrichment. Trust me, I work around foliage (in a retail menagerie) 😉

OoOo I wanna sell this plant, to somebody like you! Seriously, this thing is 3 feet tall and it yearns for a home! Don’t worry about how I got the picture but this beauty would love a bright room or maybe it’s own grow light (did I mention it was big?)
