🚲 Reminder: BikeABQ General Meeting Tonight! 🚲
Join us tonight at 7:00 PM at JUNO (1501 1st St NW) in downtown Albuquerque for BikeABQ's monthly general meeting!
We're excited to welcome Baruch Campos-Gallardo and Xavier Barraza from Together for Brothers, who will discuss transit equity and the importance of accessible transportation for all New Mexicans.
We'll also provide updates on BikeABQ's current advocacy efforts, upcoming projects, and opportunities to get involved.
Special guest Senator Antoinette Sedillo Lopez will be in attendance. We will recognize her for co-sponsoring Senate Bill 73, which was passed earlier this year and requires New Mexico driver's education courses to include at least three hours of instruction on safely interacting with vulnerable road users, including people who bike and walk. We also want to thank her for her continued support of safer streets, active transportation, and BikeABQ's advocacy efforts.
✅ Open to all

🚲 Public Input Opportunity: Moon Street Improvements 🚲
The City of Albuquerque is seeking feedback on proposed improvements to Moon Street between Academy Rd. and Spain Rd.
Proposed changes include;
-Roadway restriping
-Bicycle crossing markings at intersections
-A protected two-way cycle track along a portion of the corridor
The goal is to improve safety and connectivity for people walking, biking, and driving.

On Wednesday night, our community gathered for the Ride of Silence — a quiet, powerful reminder that every person on a bike is someone’s friend, family member, neighbor, or coworker.
The silence was moving. No chants, no speeches needed at times — just the sound of wheels turning together in remembrance of those we’ve lost and in hope for safer streets for everyone.
Thank you to everyone who rode, organized, supported, and took a moment to reflect. May we continue working toward streets where no ride ends in tragedy.

Tonight, we ride in silence.
Join us this evening for Albuquerque’s Ride of Silence as we honor cyclists who have been killed or injured on our roadways and raise awareness that cyclists are here.
Please plan to gather at 6:30 PM at Tiguex Park (1800 Mountain Rd NW) to allow time to sign the waiver before rollout.
🚲 Ride departs promptly at 7:00 PM
