Join us in congratulating Martin Vega, Jr., FSG's May 2026 Employee of the Month! Martin's recognition is especially meaningful because it was voted on by his fellow coworkers, a true reflection of the genuine appreciation his teammates have for his contributions, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to excellence. When asked what this honor meant to him, Martin shared that he felt grateful and respected, and that says everything about the kind of team member he is.

Since joining FSG in 2023 as a sand blaster, Martin has grown tremendously, transitioning through our Assembly Department, into the Supply Chain Department working in the Parts Room, and now in purchasing. His journey is a testament to his drive, adaptability, and dedication to being the best he can be.

Outside of work, Martin enjoys playing soccer and spending quality time with his family and loved ones. Martin, it is an honor to have you on our team. We are proud of the work you do every single day.

FSG is more than just a custom equipment fabricator and millwright service provider, we are active members of the poultry and egg industry community. That's why we're committed to supporting the Alabama Poultry & Egg Association as an allied member.

This month FSG sponsored two fantastic APEA events. At the Spring Golf Tournament at RTJ at Silver Lakes, the FSG team hit the links to raise funds for poultry science scholarships. Our own Mark Jennings was one of the Closest to the Hole winners! FSG team members had lunch with the anglers and took part in the impressive weigh in during the Big Bass Open on Lake Guntersville, all in support of scholarships for APEA's 2+2 poultry science programs.

Investing in the education of the next generation of poultry industry professionals is something we're truly passionate about. Thank you, APEA, for uniting the voices of the poultry and egg industry in Alabama.

This Memorial Day, we reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who gave everything for our country. Their commitment to duty and their willingness to stand for something greater than themselves have shaped the nation we are fortunate to live and work in today.

FSG will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen with regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26.

When a plant schedules a weekend maintenance shutdown, there's no room for delays. Everything must be completed and tested before the next shift returns.

FSG's service teams executed what most would consider impossible: they decommissioned 5 X-ray lines and installed and fully tested a new 6-line system in just 48 hours. This wasn't about working fast, it was about working smart under extreme pressure.

This is what FSG does, we know that complex modifications in tight footprints demand more than heavy lifting and good intentions. We show up with specialized teams who have done this before, who understand our customer's operation, and who are committed to getting it right. We do what it takes because we know our customer's business depends on it.

We are thrilled to celebrate Tripp Cranford's graduation from Guntersville High School and wish him all the best as he embarks on his Engineering School journey. Tripp's success is a testament to the incredible impact of programs like the Guntersville Engineering Academy. Through Tripp's Work-Based Learning program he discovered that learning has real purpose when grounded in practical, real-world skills.

In his first year, Tripp rotated through each department in our shop, gaining hands-on technical skills and learning the fundamentals of manufacturing. His second year, he transitioned into our Engineering Department, where he witnessed firsthand how designs transform into reality. Tripp's learning experience was rounded out when he joined one of our drafters on a customer plant visit, seeing firsthand the equipment and solutions FSG has built and installed in real-world applications.

Watching Tripp grow from eager intern to emerging engineer has been inspiring. His combination of shop floor knowledge and engineering insight will serve him well in his next chapter. Congratulations again, Tripp! We can't wait to see where your passion for engineering takes you.
