ADOPTED! The Players recently lost one of their senior feline brothers, leaving the other home alone. They were pre-approved for docile, affectionate SLADE when they spotted big and beautiful STRAWBERRY. So they made Slade's adoption official and are fostering Strawberry to make sure she gets along with the boys. We'd love to see this work out, so fingers crossed!

ADOPTED! Mary and her daughter came in to visit with the cats, hoping to find one that might get along with Mary's miniature Bull Terrier. She zeroed in on MERYL STREEP, and was so excited when she could take her "baby" home. First update has Mary's dog backing away from a very frizzed kitten. They'll be best buds in no time.

ADOPTED! Ryan and his partner wanted to get a buddy for their cat at home, who has a similar personality as CONSTANTINE. Having met him last weekend, they came in ready to make it official. Even though Constantine starts out shy, his sweet nature eventually shines through and these guys are willing and able to give him the time he needs to acclimate. Fingers crossed!

ADOPTED! While it's a procedure that is being done less these days, the Jetton family was looking for a declawed cat. Meanwhile, the SCHS has been helping a senior couple re-home some of their felines, a few of which are declawed. The Jettons drove from a good distance away and the meet 'n' greet went well, with pretty TIGRESS actually picking her new family. Even after being home just a short time, she's settling in nicely.

ADOPTED! The Abbotts came in to visit the SCHS because they had been thinking about getting a companion for their adult female cat. It was a tough decision and they took their time, but cute little AXEL won them over. We hope these two felines become quick buddies!

ADOPTED! The Hartsells came in about six weeks ago interested in a certain kitten. Finding out he was being adopted, they were introduced to GARBANZO, a tiny tot needing foster care prior to vetting. Long story short, he has become an official member of the family and is doing great.

FOR ADOPTION! Handsome SLADE, born 3/4/25, was adopted but returned because he was too clingy. He followed his adopter to the bathroom, always wanted to be near or on her, plus she was afraid she would fall because he circled her ankles. We want Slade to have the perfect home, so we're looking for someone who loves a truly affectionate cat. You would be the center of his world...and like it. Slade is very non-confrontational. He'll put up with a grumpy cat before fighting about it.

FOR ADOPTION! STRAWBERRY, born 5/28/24, was brought into the SCHS as a sick stray kitten. She was adopted once she was well, and was fine until a third (male) cat was brought into the home. He has targeted Strawberry and now she’s fighting back. Her adopters would rather see her go to a peaceful home rather than isolate her, so she's been returned. She loves to play and talk back, and enjoys being pet on her terms and napping in the sunshine. She'd likely do best as an only cat or with a docile female.

ADOPTED! Luisa and her husband have been in their home for less than a year. With family pets living elsewhere, they wanted to add two kittens to their own household. BODHI and ZIPPY were chosen, and what a great pair! These boys have awesome personalities and will bring this couple years of enjoyment.

ADOPTED! Foster mom Pam took on a litter of newborns without a mama. She fell in love with all of them, but GIZMO turned out to be the foster failure. This super sweet fuzzy gets to live with three other cats and will never have to worry about living outside or where his next meal will come from. Happy life!
