A question I get from time to time is why I make both a whipped balm and a solid balm.

The whipped balms are great for everyday use and post-shower skin care. The solid balm, however, really shines during the warmer months and for hardworking hands. The added beeswax helps it stay firm in higher temperatures and leaves a little more protection behind for hands that spend the day working, washing, building, gardening, or creating.

Different tools for different jobs.

One question I get from time to time is what makes my tallow different.

The answer starts long before a balm, soap, or candle is ever made. I render all of my tallow in-house, taking raw beef fat and slowly transforming it into clean, usable tallow through multiple rendering and filtering cycles. It’s a time-consuming process, but it gives me complete control over the quality of the finished product.

Good ingredients make good products, and I believe quality starts at the very beginning.
