Spring 2018 Special Topics Course!

NF 496/596: Exploring Mobile Computing

This is a practical course in mobile computing. Students will work with a team over the course of the term to produce a mobile application. Based on the background of most students who take the course, the primary focus of the class will be progressive web apps designed for mobile (javascript, html, css). Teams may develop Android-specific or iOS-specific apps if they can demonstrate the necessary background knowledge and self-directedness. Students will synthesize and build on their previous coursework in areas such as project management, databases, programming, user experience, etc. But no student needs all of these; students will be grouped based on their background and interests.
