Russell Sage College. 40 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY 12208. Located on the Albany campus, Opalka’s primary focus is on modern and contemporary art and design from nationally recognized artists. An important part of the cultural life in the Capital Region, the Gallery frequently hosts lectures, films, concerts, and other events in conjunction with its exhibitions.

Come out this First Friday to the Pine Hills branch of the Albany Public Library to celebrate the artists of "Super-Natural." The 12th installment of the Opalka+Art at APL exhibition series brings together a group of artists who capture and transform our natural world into the mystical—pulsing with light and energy.

More art at the library✨✨✨ APL and Opalka Gallery celebrate the latest Art at APL exhibition, “Super-Natural,” with an opening reception this Friday, June 5, at 6 pm at the Pine Hills Branch!

The reception will feature music by The Dave Gleason/Mike Lawrence Duo and light fare. The art opening is free and open to the public. Join us!!

Curated by Opalka Gallery, the show brings together a group of artists who capture and transform our natural world into the mystical—pulsing with light and energy. Artists include: Featured artists include:

Congratulations to the recipients of the Michele L. Vennard Hospitality grants!

These awards are given in partnership with The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region to support programs that aid in building and sustaining Albany County tourism destinations, attractions, events, and tourism-related activities. The grants encourage collaboration between nonprofit organizations, community groups, and hospitality businesses to further extend the economic impact of tourism and business.

The 2026 Hospitality Grant awarded a combined total of $75,054 distributed among 21 different organizations. Grant recipients included:
