Strong winds, storm cancels Capital Region events As the potential for heavy winds and rain looms over the Capital Region on Thursday, several events have been postponed or canceled for the impending storm.

Tornado Risk increased across the Capital region...
5% risk has been expanded to the Mohawk Valley and into the Adirondacks, this does include the immediate Capital Region, all of Vermont and northern Berkshire county.
Doesn't change the messaging, this does not guarantee a tornado, as our main concern will still be for damaging winds, but any storm that develops will have the ability to rotate. We will keep you updated all day long
