Libraries and slime: always a winning combination. The Grafton Community Library turned its attention to slime, and parents everywhere rejoiced that it was not in their living rooms😅

Sometimes you end up amazed that the author pulls it off . . . Other times, you get to the last page and think "that's it!?!?"

What was the last book that did this to you?

Thank you, Capital Pride, for the energy, love, and joy we felt at yesterday's Pride Parade. It was great to see so many familiar faces out there. Can't wait for next year!

If you have high school kids in your life, you likely know that today is the first day of Regents Exams! Libraries are a great space for kids to go and study - depending on your local library, you may be able to reserve a study room, join an organized study hall ( e.g. at ) or just enjoy the change of scenery and a quiet place to study.

It was a beautiful day to visit Old Stone Fort Museum & Schoharie County Historical Society. We learned about how the fort, built as a limestone church in 1772, was turned into a military outpost when it was surrounded by a stockade in 1777. The fort was one of three forts in the Schoharie Valley and was attacked by Sir John Johnson in the march of loyalist forces towards the Mohawk Valley. Thanks to our colleagues at Mohawk Valley Library System for arranging the tour!
