One of our favorite things about Openbaar is getting to meet the people behind the work. Noteworthy Resources is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families navigating mental health challenges by fostering strong peer connections, helping people access therapy and essential resources, and empowering self-advocacy. Our work is rooted in the belief that no one should have to face mental or emotional struggles alone—and that community, understanding, and access to care can change lives.

Our goal is to increase our presence as mental health advocates—reminding others that their mental and emotional well-being matters, that support is available, and that they are not alone in searching for care or connection. Through conversation, resources, and outreach, we hope to inspire individuals to prioritize their wellness and take their next step toward healing and belonging.

One of our favorite things about Openbaar is that every booth has a person behind it.

Someone who spent late nights in their studio. Someone experimenting, creating, sketching, sewing, carving, printing, painting, building, and making something they believed was worth sharing with the world.

Every piece has a story. Every artist has a reason they started. Every maker is taking a chance by putting their work out there.

Openbaar is a chance to slow down a little. To meet the people behind the things you bring home. To discover new artists. To support creativity. To find something made with intention instead of pulled from a random warehouse shelf.

Retro sorrento is the art and design brand of artist Maria Vallese. Maria creates groovy, color saturated illustrations for wanderers and dreamers. Her work includes landscapes and camping/travel subjects, colorful local and regional landmarks, as well as groovy designs of cheerful sayings. Maria’s artwork is available as archival and canvas prints, block prints, stickers, magnets, bookmarks, mugs and more. Maria also creates fully hand-illustrated patterns printed on fabric and sewn into various items.
