Contract update!

The Governor has declared a statewide State of Emergency and directed all non-essential staff to work from home on Monday, Jan. 26. Consult your supervisor for specific guidance regarding your job, but this FAQ regarding what the contract says about Extraordinary Circumstances and the PEF Contract may be helpful.

For members in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Jefferson, Lewis, Niagara, Orleans, Oswego and Wyoming Counties see below notification from NYSIF.

For the members in the Syracuse/Rochester/Buffalo Offices:

Due to anticipated severe weather conditions in Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Niagara, Wyoming, Oswego, Cayuga, Onondaga, Cortland, Madison, Wayne, Jefferson, Lewis, and Oneida counties, on Wednesday, December 31, OER has directed non-essential employees who live or work in these counties to telecommute on Wednesday, December 31. Non-essential employees who live or work in those counties but who cannot telecommute are subject to a directed absence for the day without charge to leave accruals. If this applies to you, please reach out to Help. Essential employees will be notified by their supervisor if they are required to report to work.
