Come enjoy a sampling of local herbal teas and elixirs that can boost your health and connect with local plant medicines. Cari will be also bringing some local seeds for calendula, holy basil and more herbs that grow well in the San Luis Valley. The tasting will include a taste of the blend “Clean Energy” (oats, chia, goji, beet) and herbal decoctions of locally cultivated Fennel, Peppermint, Marshmallow, and Bee Balm Monarda. Tinctures and other medicines will also be sampled, with options for “botanical mocktails.” These herbs can help improve digestion, sleep and lung health, as well as reduce stress. CaRi Conari is a farmer at the Rio Grande Farm Park and sells her herbs, as well as other local food at the SLV Apothecary at 1617 State in Alamosa.
