This Christmas, Imagine a little one watching their classmates chatter about Christmas morning. While most children talk about racing to the tree, some of our Spartan kids are clutching their stomach, quietly hoping they just won't be hungry… knowing there will be no big breakfast, no treats, no magic waiting for them at home — just the same cold, hollow feeling they’ve learned to live with. Packing up last week for Decembers monthly food distribution for Spartan Snack Pack Pantry. Huge shout out to Lakemore Lighthouse Community Church for donating toys and having a food drive for us with your photos with Santa event. We also would like to thank Maranatha Bible Church for their donations of turkeys for Thanksgiving meals for our November Pantry. We send out 120 meals every week and serve 32 families (of those that receive the weekend bags) a month. Remember, hunger doesn't end in January. All cash donations help us purchase items through the Akron Canton Foodbank where we are able to make your donation go further. So, if you could, please consider donating to help make a positive impact on the children and families in our community.
