What a week for Zips Racing! We are proud to announce that we took home 2nd place in the EV class at Formula Hybrid + Electric🥈

This week was a true representation of our hard work paying off. We are so proud of our team and all the time and effort that they have put towards this car, this wouldn’t have been possible without them.

After review, here are our final results and placement:
- Acceleration: 2nd🥈
- Autocross: 1st🥇
- Design: 2nd🥈
- Project Management: 3rd🥉
- Endurance: 3rd🥉
- Overall EV Class: 2nd🥈

We’re super excited to bring this hardware home and start preparing for our upcoming competition. Next stop, FSAE Michigan🏎️💨

FORMULA HYBRID + ELECTRIC DAY 3

Zips Racing had great momentum going into today’s events. First, we started out with prepping our car for dynamic events. We had a small issue and some things to tweak before going out, but they were fixed quickly. We then went to Acceleration and were able to secure a second place finish with a time of 3.829 seconds. After, we took a break for lunch and to change our setup for Autocross. There we were able to secure a massive first place finish with a time of 40.308 seconds. We also had the amazing opportunity to make it to Design Finals and show off our hard work. To finish out the night, we got the team together for a competition wide pizza party.

We’re currently at the track prepping for Endurance tomorrow and can’t wait to see what the day brings. Wish us luck🏎️

Zips Racing takes 2nd in Acceleration 🏎️💨

FORMULA HYBRID + ELECTRIC DAY 2

Today was a monumental day for the team as we were able to complete the rest of our technical inspections. We were also able to throw in a few static events. Below are the inspections and events that were completed:
- Mechanical Inspection✅
- Tilt Test✅
- Brakes Test✅
- Rain Test✅
- Design Presentation✅
- Project Management Presentation✅

On top of all of this, the team was invited to competition wide dinner where we were able to connect with fellow teams and volunteers. Overall, today was a successful and busy day, however we aren’t done yet. We look forward to competing in Acceleration and Autocross events tomorrow. Wish us luck🦘🏎️💨

FORMULA HYBRID + ELECTRIC DAY 1

Today was our first full day at the track, where we got our garage all set up (and decorated). The rest of our team joined us after a long drive and we went right to work.

Our day included passing EV Tech and most of Mechanical Tech before it closed for the day. We’re looking forward to continuing technical inspections tomorrow, as well as Design and Presentations🦘🏎️🌭
