🌹 With a grateful heart and countless life-changing memories, I am excited to announce a new chapter in life. Style Counsel is officially closed in real life, but its essence will always remain in my heart.

I appreciate all the amazing people and clients we worked with, grew alongside, and learned from! You helped shape a strong vision, and the ideas never stopped flowing. However, ideas come to life at the right time and with the best alignment.

That is why I have decided to shift my focus to my family, my artwork, and only the most special creative projects.

So many names are associated with Style Counsel's success over the years—a list so strong and vibrant that it humbles me. Please know how appreciative and grateful I am for our connections —clients, mentors, friends, and family.

Style still has a vision.

Last week I had the pleasure of leading a Style + Authenticity Workshop for the newest members of the sales team (CDP’s). This crew goes through an extensive, year long training to ensure the knowledge of their brand and their professional presentation is at a level of excellence. Returning to my alma mater is not a difficult decision - especially when I had the opportunity to connect with students! No lie, it makes me feel young(er). 🙋‍♀️ The Fisher Sales Institute + Taylor Institute of Marketing at The University of Akron recently welcomed me as a guest speaker to educate their female students on professional dressing and style!

But trust me, this was not a commercial of me telling them What Not To Wear. It was a 2 hour deep dive into what drives and motivates their style, and how to express that in an authentic, relatable way with their peers. We also discussed sustainable sourcing, beauty + makeup, and one of my favorite books, The Creative Act: A Way of Being, by Rick Rubin.

Sure, I could have been a stick in the mud and told them "wear this, not that" - but is that getting to the heart of it? No. It's so much more fun to create your style from a source of inspiration. And I have to say, these ladies Got It!

A HUGE spotlight and thank you to for facilitating all the marketing ideas and the ex*****on of the event. You're a 🌟 ! And to Lisa Littlejohn, Dave Payne M.S., and Vanja Djuric Zoric - thank you for all your time and for supporting Style Counsel 💛 Until next time!!

This type of project has been in my brain since I was, probably, 16. I feel passionately about the empowered nature of designing your own life, and that means your style + wardrobe, too. In my opinion, a creative expression is best exercised by using what you (or we) have and not adding junkity-junk to our digital carts.

At Modern Traditions Co you can exercise your wardrobe creativity! This styled shoot was to provide audiences with a view into creating authentic style wearing vintage, well loved items.

Throwback to SC merch life 🩵 when we got ahead of ourselves but felt an unshakable need to create something. So, we did!

I had the pleasure of styling my sister-in-law for her maternity shoot with - It’s a day + memory I’ll always have. 💙 Lauren was so open and willing to try the style ideas I presented, totally calm, and in her mama zone. I think the photos speak for themselves with her present energy.

Now having welcomed baby Jagger Tate to the family, I couldn’t be more proud of Lauren’s strength and grace during her delivery and in the days that followed. And, my brother-in-law is the most attentive protector. You are both inspiration + support for David and I. 💙
