ArtWalk is this Week! On Thursday, June 11, from 5 tp 9 pm. 🛹
We're shutting down the street for Still Aawful 2: Skate Jam 2 + Block Party.
Curated by exhibiting artist Aaron D. Williams in collaboration with Advocate SkateWorks (), this street takeover brings together skateboarding, music, art, and community. Expect a pop-up skate park, live cipher, performances from local artists, and plenty of opportunities to connect, create, and celebrate.

✨Along the sidewalk, participate in an expressive chalking activity led by Resident Artist Althea Jones.

While the action unfolds outside, visitors can also step inside to experience Williams' exhibition "Scorporation," along with the rest of our 🍃 2026 Spring Exhibitions on view.

Group Exhibition Proposals: July 2027 - June 2028
Summit Artspace invites local artists and curators to apply for a group exhibition to be held in either the Forum Gallery, a larger space on our second floor, or the Intersections Gallery, a medium-sized space on the first floor. We welcome artists and organizers with new bodies of work exploring exciting themes in contemporary art to apply. Summit Artspace is interested in highlighting a diverse range of artistic skill sets and backgrounds, as well as diverse material and critical exploration.
Solo Exhibition Proposals for July 2027 - June 2028
Summit Artspace invites local emerging artists to apply for a solo exhibition to be held in the Horizon Gallery, a smaller-sized space on our third floor. We welcome artists with new bodies of work exploring exciting themes in contemporary art to apply. Summit Artspace is interested in highlighting a diverse range of artistic skill sets and backgrounds, as well as diverse materials and critical exploration.
We strongly encourage interested applicants to come visit Summit Artspace during public hours (Fridays and Saturdays, 12 - 5 p.m.) to better understand the gallery spaces available and how exhibitions are presented.
Eligibility:
Must be 18+ for consideration. Artists must be living in Summit County or contiguous counties (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Medina, Portage, Stark, Wayne). Artwork cannot have been previously displayed in a Summit Artspace exhibition.

Deadline for Proposals: Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Notification of Acceptance: August 2026.
We are unfortunately not able to offer a stipend for exhibiting artists at this time, but seeking funding to do so.

WE'RE CLOSING DOWN THE STREET (For Art)!
ArtWalk is happening on June 11 from 5 to 9 pm. We're taking over the street for an evening of art, music, skateboarding, and community celebration. ArtWalk is free and open to the public.

Still Aawful 2: Skate Jam + Block Party':
Exhibiting artist Aaron D. Williams (aawfulaaron) is curating a live cipher 🎤 on the loading docks of Summit Artspace along a 🛹pop up skate park in collobration with Advocate Skateworks () outside the building.
☀️Resident Artist Althea Jones will be leading an expressive chalking activity on the sidewalk.
⭐🫶🏾StarFall Creative Collective will be hosting an Affirmation Reflection Cards activity on the first floor of the building.
