Today, we remember our beloved founder, Dr. Supt. A. Carven Walker, who passed away on this day seven years ago. He faithfully served Unity for 33 years, leading with vision, wisdom, and unwavering dedication.

So many lives were impacted by his leadership and his generous nature. You could always count on him to be there, through good and bad times. He showed up in the moments that mattered most — praying for the sick, comforting families, and offering strength and encouragement wherever it was needed. He truly embodied the very definition of “Shepherd.”

He also had a special gift for making everyone feel valued, seen, and important to him.

Dr. Walker left us a legacy of love that continues to guide, inspire, and strengthen our church family. We honor his memory today and always.
