Calling all middle school students! Lace up and join the Akron Middle Running Club. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just getting started, all practices and events are free for APS students. Fun runs are underway and official practices begin April 8.

For some reason I decided to schedule, produce and be a part of 8 events in a month starting back with the huge Eddies on Main Street 5th Birthday Bash in November. We even have a big wedding we are catering Saturday 😵‍💫 A few are outside of the Eddies world and either my cancer foundation or my personal life outside of Eddies. Tonight is absolutely my favorite. Tonight I bring the Akron running community together for an amazing festive run on the streets of AkRun. We start at Lock 3 Akron, Ohio…Big thanks to Chris for opening the facility just for us 🙌 We traverse up Market to Merriman Road and eventually land at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens where they graciously allow us to enter the magical grounds for our group pic in front of the estate in all of it’s holiday splendor. I use the opportunity as a fundraiser for our Akron treasure and last year i presented them with a check for 1,000.00 💖 We then trek back to Lock 3 and eventually the Barley House Akron for a post run celebration with a special treat from the Akron Marathon. It’s truly a magical experience. ✨ So if you see 150 runners later tonight around 6:30/7:00 traversing Merriman hill gives us a honk and a smile. It’s my way of saying Merry Christmas to the Akron running community ❤️
