Thank you to Synchrony for their generous donation of cooling fans for our community members this summer! A cool breeze is something that we can take for granted, but for many refugees and vulnerable neighbors, air conditioning is a luxury they cannot afford.

We are so grateful for corporations like Synchrony who remember and support our neighbors.

Ever since she was young, Cindy Vue understood the power and gift of hard work and education. She saw it on full display through her parents, who never had the opportunity to attend college.

“My parents [are] Hmong refugees that fled from the Secret War,” said Vue, “and I’ve heard their stories of how they survived and how they made it to America and that was very inspiring to me.”

Money is getting tighter for everyone, especially for our refugee neighbors. Many must choose between different essentials to afford, leaving other needs by the wayside. Our summer community closet aims to help relieve some of that burden so that they can take care of their families without sacrificing healthy food or clothing.

You can become a part of this mission by helping us sort and organize donations, check market tents, prepare safety equipment, and more.
