It’s been a day. Well, actually, a week.

The past two weeks has been a sober reminder that no matter how much you plan, no matter how well you do your job, some things are simply out of your control. This wedding season is one for the books. I am THRILLED 🥰 to have so many brides this season and actually be moving forward with weddings!!! 💒 We are busy and doing everything to accommodate all our brides.

Unfortunately, one of our most esteemed vendors is not living up to the task and has made it painfully apparent the past two weeks. Working with a company 🏗(let’s call them “C”) 🏗that has 200 years of history, experience and trust...what could possibly go wrong??? Simply put, EVERYTHING.

To those in the industry, do not move forward with 🏗 When they tell you your item printed and is being shipped, don’t believe them. They’ve been telling me this for two weeks. I still do not have invites.

This has been a good reminder on why I ❤️ keeping my $$ local. I contacted my local printer and explained what was happening and that I needed a plan B in case “C” didn’t deliver. Guess what?! “C” didn’t deliver. My plan B is currently embossing paper and laser printing the suite so we can at least get these invitations out. And for that, I am grateful. 😊Putting names to faces and faces to names matter. They care that this gets done. 😍

Lessons learned: shop local, always have a plan b in your pocket and soldier on!
But for now, I’ll be enjoying a glass of wine 🍷 at Pavonas!
