Thank you to our guest speakers, Pastor Diane Thatcher on Sunday, May 24 and Pastor Nick Lakatos on Sunday, May 31 as Pastor Mike was on vacation. We loved both! It was so nice to having Diane back in her home church again, too!
Pentecost, the day the church was born!

If you know of any kids you think would enjoy a week at Camp ECCO this summer and need financial assistance, Camp ECCO wants to help!
(Scholarship applications can be completed online at campecco.org)
Scholarship funds are available for kids wishing to attend Camp ECCO this summer and need financial help. Money should never be the reason for not being able to attend camp. These scholarships are given in memory of Karen Snider Newman, Jim and Eileen Snider, and Elton & Rose Rex. Karen and I attended camp together while we were growing up in the 60s. We counted the days until it was time to spend a week at camp and always wished camp lasted longer than a week! Great memories! Karen had a smile that would light up a room and her laugh was contagious! Karen loved kids and devoted her life to teaching in the Green Local School District. She would be thrilled that she and her family were helping kids attend a camp they all loved so much. Private message me if you need help with the application or have questions.

HE is RISEN

It was Friday…
But not just any Friday…
It was the day Love was betrayed by a kiss…
And the Creator was handed over to be crushed by His creation
It was the day the innocent one was condemned…
…And the guilty… went free…
The day justice bowed to jealousy…
And mercy was hung between two thieves…
It was the day the crowds cheered for Barabbas…
(drum hit) And scorned the one who had healed the blind…
It was the day the soldiers mocked…
The thorns pierced, The whip tore, And the nails held
It was the day the sky went dark…
The ground shook…
And hope hung silent on a cross
He was wounded for our transgressions
He was crushed for our iniquities
The punishment that brought us peace…
Was placed upon Him
And by His wounds — we are healed…
(pause)
On this Friday…
We remember his love…
We remember the cost…
We remember the cross…
This is our King…
This is the Gospel…
This is Good Friday…
Come King Jesus!
Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
