I love trying to photograph the magic of Waldorf education. These 8th graders are starting their homemade chair project by sawing slices off a giant red oak tree trunk. Over the year of woodworking class they will turn this wood into functional pieces of art. So cool!

Photography is magical - it can stop and preserve time.

Photographed the Choices Whole Health Fair this week @ House Three Thirty in Akron. It was a beautiful event showcasing some of the great mental and physical health services available in summit county. ❤️

All photographers have to do, is find and catch the story-telling moment. - Alfred Eisenstaedt (Photojournalist for Life Magazine)

This year I began offering portraits and sports team photography. Here is a snapshot of the 2024 SGWS Basketball Team.

It has been a fun new challenge to master indoor studio lighting and posing. The setup is very different from my candid event and nature photography. There is still more to learn, but I have enjoyed gaining a new skill!

Primal Peace Photography is all about capturing real moments of joy and creativity. I love when human expressions and motion seem to tell a story. Below is a sample of my recent work at Spring Garden Waldorf School.

I had studio lighting out for a project and took the chance to photograph our cat Clover. She is sweet and sassy - you can see it in her bright yellow eyes. 🐾❤️📸

Recently I went for a hike at my favorite childhood park, Sippo Lake in Stark County, Ohio. I loved how the light hit this large tree, with the crescent moon peeking out behind. It reminded me of the immense beauty winter can provide.

Photography has given me the chance (perhaps permission?) to slow down and appreciate mother nature. That's why I named this venture "Primal Peace Photography."

Through my camera lens I seek moments and spaces that give my heart lasting joy and gratitude. Peace and zen are something we cultivate. It’s something we can find if we care deep enough.

Love the peaceful candle lit scenes I was able to capture @ SGWS's Spiral of Light ceremony. Photography in a nearly pitch black room was a real challenge, but I happen to love adventures.

The darkest days of the year are here. This ceremony reminds us that we can all shine our inner lights to help illuminate the way.
