| Akron Football unveiled a promotion that will allow a season ticket holder to script the Zips first home drive of the 2026 season.

According to the press release, the selected fan will work directly with Zips head coach Joe Moorhead to help design the plays during the week of the game.

The Zips will host Robert Morris on ESPN+ at 3:30PM ET on Saturday, September 12, and one lucky fan will get to live out everyone’s dream.

| A Grove City man is behind bars after investigators say he used TikTok to lure a man to his home before shooting him, believing the man was connected to a child sexual assault investigation.

According to court records, 31-year-old Malik Chandler is charged with felonious assault after police say he shot a man outside Chandler's Parlin Drive home Thursday evening just after 6 p.m. The alleged victim suffered two gunshot wounds and was taken to Grant Medical Center.
