The objectives of Torch are to give members of learned professions an opportunity to meet in the spirit of fellowship and to develop a breadth of thought and culture.
Presentations are given by a member or guest speaker followed by open discussion. It is through this sharing of knowledge and point of view that Torch becomes a unique and beneficial experience.

Akron Torch club meets the 4th Wednesday during the months of August thru May at 6pm, at the AKRON WOMAN’S CITY CLUB, 732 W. Exchange Street in Akron for dinner, presentation, and discussion.

Hello friends. The Akron Torch Club has three interesting DF dinnner meetings coming up. Ancient Scotland, the food of Ancient Rome, and a tak about King Charles I, Ii, AND III.
I have heard each of the speakers and they are all very interesting and engaging. Please consider attending one or more of these with me.

The presentation at last night’s Torch Club meeting was the history of Torch, and the Akron Torch Club. The quarterly publication had the article I have posted below.
Interesting comments on the cusp of WWII and the end of colonialism. The article doesn’t mention capitalism at all.
