It was an extremely busy afternoon at the clinic. We arrived and were the seventh trailer in the back parking lot. Horses were loading and unloading and trailers were pulling in and out while black skies loomed. Prim and Kylo were perfect despite all that was going on around them. They had their annual shots and a coggins pulled.

We added a microchip for Kylo at the last minute so he unloaded to have that procedure done in the parking lot. I like all of the horses to have them…Just in case. Prim unloaded to have her pictures taken in the rain to update her coggins.

I was able to unload and then reload both horses quickly and easily by myself because we have spent a lot of time teaching them how to self load at home. It is time and preparation well spent for moments like this. I ask anyone who knocks Thoroughbreds to top it. I appreciate Southern Equine Services’ efficient service to get us in and out as gracefully as they did on a very busy day.

I really missed Casey Morgan’s help but she’s away helping Missy Miller at an event this week.

We are proud to announce that our Thoroughbred mare Lime Candy (Primrose) is expecting a foal by Connemara stallion Windy Isles Get Smart in Spring 2023. We are very excited for this cross and feel that both sire and dam are great sport horses who love their jobs. We can’t wait to see this baby!
