The portrayal of addiction & drug use in movies & TV shows is often dramatized & inaccurate. This is understandable because addiction can look different from one person to another. Also, addicts, like most people, can be layered & complex. That being said, there are a few movies / TV shows that capture the intricate themes of addiction in an interesting & compelling way. The following is a movie recommendation that offers insight into addiction, specifically when it comes to m**h use & a brief explanation.

Spun (2002)
This movie depicts 3 days in the life of a person addicted to m**h. The chaos that ensues in no way romanticizes the lifestyle, rather it is merely an honest portrayal of it. The title ’spun’ refers to the slang term for the way users feel after going multiple days without sleep while on a m**hamphetamine binge. 📍

It takes a village to EndM**h… We appreciate all efforts from the top to the bottom! There are many reasons why people use m**h. M**h can induce feelings of euphoria & to increase sociability, while others may be prescribed m**h to treat diagnoses such as ADHD or for weight loss.
Despite the differing reasons for why people turn to m**h, there risks the chance of getting addicted. This may not always be the case for individuals, but frequent use can result in dependence.
