For so many reasons I’m not teaching swimming lessons any more, after 16 years it’s time for this old girl to retire. It’s so hard because I love it, I love your kids and I know there is a big need in Afton.
I’d like to encourage some responsible teenagers to get their certification!
You need to be at least 16 years old, have a life guard certification ( so easy to get it takes one weekend of training in Kemmerer if you can swim) and the swim instructor certification through Red Cross I can help you get started, it’s not hard it will take a couple weekends but it’s an incredible investment of time , I highly recommend it! I will help you stream line your business with things that work and tell you what doesn’t. there are hundreds of kids that need swim lessons this summer and I only know of Daniel turner in the Afton area that will be teaching. Note: if you are under 5 feet tall or if you have fair skin this job is not for you, ( because you will need to hold kids up in the deep end when they learn to tread ) ☀️wishing everyone a safe fun summer 🏊🏼♀️🐟

This is such a perfect analogy I hope you’ll take a listen,
I’ve been holding off announcing that I’m not teaching swimming lessons this summer, because it was a reeealy hard decision to make. I keep second guessing myself, because I really love it. But I feel like I’m dropping plates all over the place, I need to pick the most important ones to keep spinning and those are my kids.
i had some cancellations! message me if you want the spot :)

Classes are for two weeks Monday -Thursday if we need a makeup day it will be the following Friday. Classes are 30 min
eight kids per class
Sophia charges $50 per child (ages 5-7)
Ashley charges $70 per child
*I charge more because I’m Red Cross certified with 14 years teaching experience (well now that makes me feel old )
We love teaching the younger kids but the hi country pool starts out so deep that four-year-olds are usually on their tippy toes and have to lift their chins if they can’t even touch at all, its just not a good environment to become comfortable in water so we start with five-year-olds, I recommend Cedar Creek pool for ages 2 to 4
