Are you trying to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders? This Family Sunday, we explored a powerful truth: We can trust God’s promises because of who He is, not because of what we can do.
Abraham waited 25 years for God’s promise to be fulfilled. In that time, he tried to make it happen himself—and created bo***ge instead of freedom. How often do we do the same? We grab for control, build our own résumés before God, and crush ourselves under the pressure of self-salvation.
But here’s the good news: “Come to me, you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” When we trust in God’s character and timing, we experience patient endurance, rest from our works, and fullness of joy—even in the hardest circumstances. The question is: What are you placing your trust in? Your hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
