I'm curious, when you meet someone who's planning their first trip to Italy, what do you tell them are your "must see" places for first-timers?

The new Hard Rock Hotel is being built on the Vegas strip where the old Mirage once stood. It's going to be unbelievably spectacular. I don't talk much about it here, but I've spent a total of 47 nights in Las Vegas in the last 5 years working private corporate events. My first trip to Vegas was in 1993 and over the last 33 years I've visited often enough to watch her change and grow. I spoke with the home office of the Artemis this morning, and then got confirmation just a few minutes ago from Captain Nikos, that the "deep renovation" is well underway. The boat is already booked for most of May 2027 when I can put a trip together, but it is available on May 29, 2027 for a 7 night private charter. One of my favorite places in Italy is Ortigia, a small island just off the coast of Syracuse. The entire island is walkable. There are tons of great restaurants; there's ancient history, spectacular sunsets, and endless shopping. With its winding streets and narrow alleys, it's also my favorite place to get lost
