Tonight, our Law Enforcement & Corrections students took part in Scenario Night, working through realistic emergency and real-world situations designed to prepare them for careers in public safety.
A huge thank you to our local law enforcement agencies, corrections officers, community members, and student volunteers who helped make this hands-on learning experience possible. A special shoutout also goes to instructor Doug McMullen, whose dedication and preparation make nights like this possible while helping students build the skills and confidence needed for these real-life scenarios.
Here are a few photos from the action and learning throughout the evening!

There is something exciting about seeing students proudly hold up the names of the places and opportunities they are headed to next.
Our PM students gathered outside the front entrance to celebrate Decision Day 2026 and the adventures ahead of them. Whether they are heading into the workforce, continuing their education, joining the military, or pursuing skilled trades and apprenticeships, each sign represents hard work, growth, and goals becoming reality.
We are incredibly proud of these students and cannot wait to see where their journeys take them next. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

Today we had the exciting opportunity to welcome Cindy Hasselbring, Integration Manager for the Office of STEM Engagement at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, to the LISD TECH Center alongside her mother, Jan Hasselbring, who is from Michigan.
Cindy is helping lead Career and Technical Education (CTE) initiatives through NASA, making today’s visit especially meaningful as we showcased the incredible opportunities our students experience every day right here in Lenawee County.
The visit was made even more special through the connection between Cindy and LISD Assistant Superintendent of CTE & Instruction/General Services Jenny Heath, who are former colleagues. Their professional relationship helped open the door for NASA to visit our building and see firsthand the innovation, hands-on learning, and career preparation happening right here in Lenawee County.
We are grateful for the chance to share our programs, our students, and our vision for the future of CTE with leaders who are helping shape opportunities on a national level.
