The Lenawee Community Foundation will begin accepting applications for the 2026 V.C. and Velma Knight Memorial Fund grants on July 1.

Grant applications are due August 1, 2026, and are open to programs serving basic needs, health, and human services in Lenawee County.

After a period of tremendous growth and impact, President & CEO Bronna Kahle has announced her retirement effective December 31, 2026. The Lenawee Community Foundation Board has named Paula Trentman, a dedicated leader with more than 25 years of service to LCF, as the Foundation’s next President & CEO.

🌿 Leadership starts with opportunity.

The 2026 Lenawee Youth Leadership Camp will give youth ages 12–19 the chance to grow through hands-on activities, team challenges, and interactive learning led by trained facilitators.

Campers will explore:
✨ Leadership & communication
✨ Goal setting & problem solving
✨ Teamwork & community connection
✨ The unique strengths of Lenawee County

Along the way, they’ll build confidence, friendships, and lasting memories at the beautiful Stubnitz Environmental Education Center.

📅 August 11–13, 2026
⏰ 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
💲 Cost: $30 (scholarships available)

The Lenawee YOUTH Council, in collaboration with the Lenawee County Health Department, set up their annual Clothesline project at the Human Services Building in recognition of World No To***co Day. Teens from the Lenawee YOUTH Council hung nearly 150 shirts on the clothesline, representing each tobacco-related death in Lenawee County last year.
