This week in the COMM 302: Persuasion and Social Influence students classified pure (clear cut example) and borderline (subjective) forms of persuasion around campus. Each group saw how their experiences and perceptions affected how they categorized the same persuasive examples. What is persuasive to one person might not be for someone else!

Our final teacher of the week is Dr. Steven Shehan! Dr. Shehan has been teaching at Adrian for 34 years. Before teaching, Steven worked as a Public Relations Director for 9 counties for the Boy Scouts. His favorite class to teach is COMM 109 because this is the first class where students get hands-on experience with the equipment for the first time. While at college, Steven said his favorite project to work on was when he got to help create and produce a program like Saturday Night Live or SCTV that aired on a local access television channel. When asked about a fun fact, Dr. Shehan said he was in a band in high school. They painted their faces like the group KISS. They even won their high school talent show that year! Thank Dr. Shehan for setting up your students for success!
