The University System of Maryland Student Council (USMSC) is one of four councils established during the restructuring of higher education in Maryland in 1988.

USMSC advises the Chancellor, Board of Regents, and elected officials and represents 172,000+ students in the University System of Maryland's 12 institutions and three regional higher education centers. The USM Board of Regents and Student Council hosted this year’s 12 winners of the Board of Regents Student Excellence Scholarship. This award celebrates students’ achievements in academics, leadership, creativity, and outreach. This award is the highest honor that can be awarded to a student in the system. Help us celebrate their accomplishments!

This scholarship recognizes University System of Maryland students who demonstrate excellence in leadership, outreach, innovation, and academics.
