I’ve got new music out!

A few months ago I encountered an event rarer than any super moon, about 24 hours without a child in the house. I decided to lock myself in and write and record an entire new song from scratch. Spark is the result of that session.

What’s nice about having a time limit is you can’t think too much (my specialty) and you have to make quick decisions. If you have unlimited time it’s easy to second guess what you’re doing and get bogged down. The process was a really natural flowing from start to end. I cannot emphasis how little thinking I did during this project, truly a remarkably low amount of brain power was used.

I went back the next week with Liam Newell, and he added the keys solo in the middle of the chart. It’s worth listening just for that section.
