Just a few tips for those attempting to paint their house:

1- use blue tape to cover baseboards
2- get all furniture out of the room as it allows you to move freely around
3- use quality paint, preferably from Sherwin Williams, attempting to save money by using low quality products will only result in having to do extra coats (+ work)

Does flat paint get dirty?

Yes, flat paint is more likely to getting dirty compared to other paint finishes like satin or eggshell because its low sheen makes it difficult to clean without damaging the surface; even gentle scrubbing can leave marks or remove the paint

If your walls are in a high-traffic area and prone to getting dirty often, consider using a higher sheen paint like eggshell or satin for easier cleaning
