The Texas courts are adjusting regular operations and most non-emergency hearings are being rescheduled. The Courts will not hear uncontested or prove up matters. On January 31, 2020, USCIS announced a new version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. Employers should begin using this updated form immediately with total conversion to use of the new form by May 1, 2020. A frequent error we see in I-9 audits is use of the wrong editions of the form given the frequent updates to this form by USCIS. Let us know if we can assist you in conducting a review of your records.
