Our Project commits to honor, respect and forever remember those who have sacrificed their lives protecting our freedom.

Our 501(c)3 non-profit organization makes available hand painted original portraits free of charge to the families of these heroes. The American Fallen Soldiers Project was formed to help provide comfort and healing to the grieving families of our fallen military. Our 501c3 non-profit organization makes available at no cost to the family an original portrait of their fallen loved one that fully captures their appearance and personality.

Army SGT Raymond C. Alcaraz, Jr. - american fallen soldiers 08/31/2020

Today we remember Army SGT Raymond Alcaraz who died August 31, 2010. Raymond grew up loving the game of baseball. He dreamed of being a professional baseball player and even made the all-star team while playing Little League, but by the time he reached high school he realized that he wanted to think of alternatives. After graduating high school, Raymond chose to enlist in the Army the following summer of 2007 at the age of 17. His older brother, Lucas, joined the Army and Raymond aspired to follow in his footsteps.

Army SGT Raymond C. Alcaraz, Jr. - american fallen soldiers Army SGT Raymond Alcaraz died August 31, 2010, when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device at FOB Shank, Afghanistan. Also killed were SSG Vinson B. Adkinson III, SPC Matthew E. George and SPC James A. Page.

Army SGT Bryce D. Howard - american fallen soldiers 08/31/2020

Today we remember Army SGT Bryce Howard who died August 28, 2007. In a memorial page dedicated to Bryce, his son, Caleb, wrote, “I learned a lot from my dad … I have this one picture of me when I was like 4 or 5, and I was wearing some of his Army gear. Thank you dad! You will never be replaced as being my Hero and my loving, caring dad.”

Marine Cpl Barton Humlhanz - american fallen soldiers 08/31/2020

While conducting security combat operations in Babil Province, Cpl Barton Humlhanz’s unit was hit by an improvised explosive device detonation. He died of shrapnel wounds on August 26, 2004. As a young Marine, Bart gave everything he had to every task in front of him – from training objectives to being a good friend, Bart was always “all-in.” Bart had a large heart, and treated everyone as if they were family.

Air Force SSgt Forrest Sibley - american fallen soldiers 08/31/2020

On August 25, 2015 SSgt Forrest Sibley was fatally wounded during an ambush at a vehicle checkpoint. Forrest couldn’t get enough of the outdoors and could easily get lost in his love of what nature offered; often spending his time fishing, hunting, target shooting and hiking in the woods.

Today we remember Marine LCpl Donald Hogan who was killed in action on August 26 2009 while supporting combat operations in Nawa, Afghanistan. LCpl Hogan was 20 years old from San Clemente, California. Hogan planned on a career in the Marines, his parents said, and hoped to retire with a higher rank than his grandfather, who had served for 22 years. When Donald Hogan joined the Marines, he felt that he had found a home.

Army SGT Garrett I. McLead - american fallen soldiers 08/31/2020

Today we remember SGT Garrett McLead who died August 22, 2007 in Multaka, Iraq. McLead was one of 14 Soldiers who died in a Black Hawk helicopter crash during a night mission near the city of Kirkuk, Baghdad. “He wanted to be an actor, but after 9/11 he changed his plans and went for God and country,” Garrett’s Uncle Paul Emmons said. After his 2002 graduation from Rockport Fulton High School he joined the United States Army. An avid surfer, being stationed in Hawaii was extra special for Garrett. He was a sniper and did reconnaissance work for the Army.
