Today, we stand in solidarity with students across our district who are exercising their constitutional right to free speech and peaceful protest. High school students throughout the district are organizing to raise their voices about actions taking place at the federal level that directly impact their families and communities.

In towns like Addison and Bensenville, many families have felt the deep and painful effects of immigration enforcement actions. Communities are experiencing disruption, fear, and the loss of stability that every child deserves. In some municipalities, residents also face the additional challenge of limited local leadership advocacy and a lack of ordinances designed to protect and support vulnerable families.

This is a moment to stand alongside our young people — not only to protect their right to be heard, but to affirm that their voices matter. They are demonstrating civic engagement, courage, and a commitment to justice. Our students are not only the future; they are leaders in the present.

Thank you Telemundo for including me in this conversation. The executive order in Chicago is so important, especially for the preservation of evidence when it comes to the violation of our Constitutionally protected rights, including our right to due process. I hope we continue to see others follow suit and provide support and protections for residents.

I am thrilled to announce Congresswoman Delia Ramirez's endorsement. To have such an incredible leader in our community support me during this race is an amazing feeling.

Thank you to Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence for your endorsement. This is an issue that is incredibly close to my heart as a social worker and as someone who works in our public school system. I am proud of the work I've done to support reform and I am so grateful for organizations such as Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence, Moms Demand Action, and so many others for paving the way for change to protect our students and our community.

I'm excited to announce that I have been endorsed by the National Association of Social Workers - Illinois Chapter. I became a social worker because my life was shaped by experiences of growing up moving from school to school to access bilingual programs to learn English and not having access to inclusive, intersectional, and culturally appropriate services. I wanted to make sure that children would have more than I did. I've been a social worker in the Addison Public School District for 18 years and I am excited to go to work every single day and so proud of each and every one of my students. This endorsement means so much to me.

As the only member of a union in my race, I know first hand how vital unions are to protecting our workers. I am so honored to once again be endorsed by the Warehouse Workers and to add them to the list of unions who have endorsed me in this race. Thank you so much for your support!

Last night, it’s estimated that over 135 million people tuned in to watch Bad Bunny perform at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, making it the most-watched halftime performance of all time. I was one of those viewers.

What I saw was an incredible moment, showcasing the rich culture that is part of America, hearing a language that is part of America, seeing the history and struggle of a people brought to the national stage, which culminated in the celebration of all of the Americas. As I move through District 1, not only do I see the rich and diverse Latinx culture of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Guatemalan, and other Latinx people, I see our Albanian and Greek community, I see our Italian community, I see our communities of immigrants, our communities of folks seeking asylum, our communities who have lived in District 1 for generations who are still trying to make ends meet, our entrepreneurs, our artists, our dreamers, our college students, our future leaders. I see the stunning patchwork that has been stitched together to create our corner of DuPage County, the stitching that makes us strong and unique.

Every day, whether that is on the campaign trail, whether that is working with my students as their social worker, whether that is supporting our immigrant communities as a rapid responder, whether that is just being there for my own family and loved ones, I want to continue to create space, to uplift all of our voices, and to continue adding to our beautiful patchwork of District 1.

“The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

Thank you County Board for your endorsement! I am proud to have the only Democrat in County Board District 1 support my campaign during this election cycle. You have been a voice for your community and those who are most vulnerable. Thank you so much for your support.

I joined folks in Elmhurst again this weekend to stand in solidarity with those in our community who need our support the most right now. This is also a special weekend, celebrating a one year anniversary of these protests that were started by one woman. One woman rallied a community, created a space of unity, where people could come to express their frustration, their sadness, to find hope. I am always grateful to have this space to come to.

I had an awesome time knocking doors at the canvassing event with Yasmeen Bankole for Congress! It's also pretty awesome to see her featured in the Chicago Tribune today.
