A Realtor with nearly 30 years of experience selling homes is now turning to building them with a plan to add 12 for-sale townhomes in an area where Plainfield Township has long wanted to see infill housing.

Jeff Hill is embarking on the $3.7 million project that calls for four townhome buildings on a long-vacant lot at 2375 Belmont Center Drive in Belmont.

The units would be marketed for sale around the $375,000 to $425,000 range, depending on size. Two- to three-bedroom floor plans averaging about 1,400 to 1,550 square feet each would be offered.

Hill, who spent 28 years selling homes with companies like Eastbrook, JTB/Interra, Bosgraaf Homes and the Redstone Group, is under contract to buy the approximately 1-acre parcel for an undisclosed sum from Richard White, of NextLevel Strategies LLC. The transaction is pending a planned unit development rezoning approval from the township.
