In our symphony, Chi Omegas are challenged to “choose thoughtfully that course which occasion and conscious demand”. Our intent for the DEI work is to embrace the “Inclusion” portion and ensure that all of our current collegians and alumnae are educated and moved to improve as a whole. Chi Omega plans to make it a priority to promote civility and expects our sisters to lead with civility, including in Diversity, Equity, and inclusion discussions internally in our chapters and outwardly on our campuses. Chi Omega hopes through Chapter tailored diversity, equity, and inclusion education, as well as nationals endeavors promoting inclusivity, our members can lead in this regard. As an organization of purposeful women, it is imperative to challenge ourselves and each other by listening to and learning from those whose experiences differ from our own.

“Since I have lived in Ada for most of my life, I knew going to college in Ada would be harder to make friends, because I wouldn’t force myself out of my comfort zone to make new ones in classes, campus events, etc because I already had some here. However, I wanted to make more friends, but I am VERY shy (my sisters know this haha). I had known some girls that were already in both sororities, and they loved it. So one day at the block party me and my now twin Mikaela both said something about going Greek and it was a if you do it I’ll do it type thing. I’m so glad we went through with it. From the moment I walked into the chi o lounge I felt a sense of peace, like I found where I belonged. I wanted a group of sisters/friends that I would stay in touch with after college, and I’ve made life long friends. Chi omega has brought me out of my shell and has helped shaped me to be womanly always and discouraged never ;). I don’t know what I’d do without my chi o sisters and especially my fam bam in chi o. Anyways, Chi O is the Best O!!”

⚡️This weeks Chi Omega Wednesday is Jadie Miller⚡️
“When I first decided to go Greek (at the very last minute) and I met the Chi Omega’s, I immediately new that they were the girl gang for me. The love that they radiated for each other and for the sisterhood was something I had to be a part of. Since then, Chi Omega has not only given me forever best friends and a forever family, but they have introduced me to the best parts of myself and have embraced me for who I am. The genuine love and encouragement I receive from every sister leaves me with a feeling of love and support that every person deserves to feel. I hope that your friends makes you feel that constant light and love that my sisters give to me. I am a better person after joining Chi Omega and I could not be more thankful! XOXO”

Today we celebrate international Badge Day! We as Chi Omegas wear “ΧΩ” over our hearts with pride. When Dr. Charles Richardson created the first badge out of dental gold the ladies of Chi Omega took turns wearing the Badge for special occasions. They all believed that the badge would give them the confidence they needed for whatever tasks they were facing. Today 270,000+ Chi Omegas wear their badge recognizing the importance and honor of being a Chi Omega and the purpose of holding our letters to high standard! Happy international Badge Day!
