Faith In Deeds

It was a day off from school and the older boys wanted something special for breakfast. What they wanted was a bit extra time consuming for our crew of over 100 people. “No problem!” they said “we’ll help!” And they did. So all of the children and staff got to enjoy a breakfast they call “pori” it’s like a flakey, soft tortilla with a spicy potato sauce. It was so good we forgot to get photos of our finished product 🫣😋

New school uniforms for the new school year. The local schools change colors every few years. What do you think of the army green? Some of our girls definitely miss the lavender color from previous years.

Scroll through to see the progress on the solar panel project. Everything is installed and ready to go except that the meters to allow us to connect to the grid have been on back order. They’re supposed to arrive and to be installed next week.

The girls picked vine ripened tomatoes from our garden. They had fun finding these little treasures.

Our home of hope, joy, and love all decorated for this special season. Each child got to participate and add their own creativity and fun! 🥰🎄💕 The exterior lights have been up for the whole month, but we just got our Christmas tree decorated earlier this week 🙃

It’s been a fun and full day! First chores, breakfast, get ready, church, fried fish for lunch, then skit and dance practice, walking the dogs, some free time, and studying for exams tomorrow. The kids tried on their costumes for their skit. And our faithful dog, Cocoa, was with us every step of the way.
Please pray for us this week. There is a lot going on and several of the children have coughs/colds. 🙏

Yesterday was a big day at the fish farm which means today all of the children and staff got to enjoy fried fish. It was delicious! The kids are showing their big thumbs up for this Sunday lunch 😋

We love it when our “big kids” come to visit and teach something new to all of the children. It warms our hearts. We had a beautiful start to our December and Advent. We lit the candle of hope.

We love taking walks and seeing what we find along the way. Green bananas anyone?
