Ceremony set up Shinola Hotel 🙌🏼 love the way the flowers bounce as we roll down my now favorite hallway. The theme was Michigan meadow with a focus on yellows like citrine, chartreuse, and touches of periwinkle. Hard to pick a favorite flower for the day but the meadow buttercup are probably it. 🌼

So grateful to Happileigh Hosted Events for bringing us to Detroit! Quite literally going to be all over Michigan this year. Starting out our wedding season at one of the chicest and prettiest venues was a treat.

What I love about film is the anticipation of getting the photos back. Nothing like the feeling when we were kids sitting down with that thick envelope from the pharmacy photo-lab, flipping through memories from months before. This shoot was only a month ago, yet somehow it already feels distant in the best way. I love how ethereal and gritty the photos look. It gives the flowers a soft edge and the candle glow really stands out. As much as I love crisp, bright photography, there’s an undeniable art to film. It captures more than a moment, I think it bakes in a glimmer of nostalgia. ✨

Versatile. This tablescape feels quite versatile to me. Certainly, this could be for the wedding day... but I picture this as the "day-after" brunch. A fresh look for the tables while you reminisce with your closest friends and family and bask in that newlywed energy. I also love the idea of a beautiful rehearsal dinner, again, with those closest family and friends. Those times are intimate and what's more special than using your family's heirloom china? (Real talk, these plates were my husband's great-great grandmother's and we use them for Christmas Eve every year.) The yellow, gold, and green details of the plates complement the florals so incredibly well: delicate but sort of bold in their own right. The take away: it's not just about the flowers but the way flowers can spark so much more inspiration for the rest of the elements.

fresh | earthy | light - a wedding tablescape for the elegant, down to earth couple

Food for thought: What if we created the tablescape of your dreams where you just couldn't decide what you loved most?!

Because this is what is going on in my head: The scrunch of the velvet is my favorite. Oh wait, the spiral taper candles. NO WAIT, it's the scalloped edge plates. NO SERIOUSLY WAIT, it's the little baby orchids. Oh but then there's the ribbed coupe glasses...

Then I picture this without linen, on a wooden, farmhouse style table... Being truly inspired is such a fun feeling. 🍋

There’s something about setting goals with a lot of intention at the new year…but not fully believing in them until the sun comes back. 😅 Spring, or Ziigwan in Anishinaabemowin, feels like that emergence back into the world as a sort of time for renewal, growth, and intention.

Every detail of this project was truly intentional, from the frill of the tulips to the soft silk yellow of the butterfly ranunculus petals. The grounding weight, depth and texture of the linen. The fullness of the garden roses juxtaposed with the delicacy of oncidium orchids. That’s the kind of intention I’m leaning into, fueling my designs with both instinct and purpose. 💛

I am an Indigenous woman. I’ve been wanting my floristry to hold more of that meaning for quite some time. This shoot was inspired by my tribe’s medicine wheel where yellow represents Spring.

I wanted this to feel like that first stretch of sun.
The kind we crave.
The kind that reminds you something is coming back to life.

Tulips, daffodils = the first signs of hope after a long season.

I always say, “I’m a creative,” but ideas only matter when you bring them out of your head and into the world.
Seeing this one come to life feels surreal. Absolutely dreamy.

Truly a creative milestone for me, and the beginning of something I want to explore more deeply.

Got to step outside the usual and just create for this one. For this anniversary shoot I was able to experiment by pushing shapes, textures, and movement in ways I don’t always get to explore in client work. Some ideas I’ll absolutely carry forward (the callas for sure), others I’ll leave right here… and that’s the beauty of creating without pressure.

Grateful for collaborators who make space for curiosity and growth 🤍
