This HPD Civic chassis running a sealed FK8 HPD engine combo was fighting brake temp issues and repeated duct failures. The original 3" brake ducts were getting torn up from tire clearance under load, so it was time to redesign the system.
We stepped down to 2.5" ducting and fabricated hard pipe sections to route the airflow cleanly between the subframe and engine/trans where space was tight. While we were in there, we also built a new cold air intake pulling fresh air from the same area feeding the brake ducts.
The result has been improved brake temperature control and much better reliability. Since the update, the car has been able to run full sessions without destroying ducts and has already put down some of its quickest laps yet. 🏁

We did it!
