Vision
We are called to help those who struggle, to experience God’s radical hope. Mission
Through teaching, encouraging, and worshiping as the body of Christ,
we strive to build mature disciples, who share real examples of
how the Holy Spirit has changed their lives
But if not
But if not, do we still understand
But if not, do we still trust His hand
But if not, will you still fight
But if not, a lighthouse in night
But if not, how many will remain
But if not, will we use our brain
But if not, understanding all isn’t lost
But if not, standing regardless of cost
But if not, my conviction will not fall
But if not, I come to answer the call

When will we
When will we listen and hear?
When will we look and fear?
When will we rise and stand?
When will we join and band?
When will we share and preach?
When will we think and teach?
When will we begin asking why?
When will we live to die?
When will we release letting go?
When will us disciple and show?
When will we share what’s true?
When will we begin living anew?
When will we live out our walk?
When will we share Biblical Talk?
When will we surrender and commit?
When will we no longer quit?
When will we value what free?
When will we honor the tree?

Church gone wrong
Church gone wrong
No longer strong
No need to stand
Just let words land
It’s a choice
Lost its voice
Walking in the night
Forgetting the true light
Stone rolled away
What to say
Will you now turn?
Even if world burn
Life show true
Arise chosen few
Learn to walk, obey
Adjust and follow, today
Called to follow
Lives not hollow
Is He the Lord?
Take up the sword
Face to ground
Rise with sound
The Loin joins fight
Reflect to show light

Miracle of Easter
We came looking for Him in the tomb, but He isn’t there
Not realizing the truth in the words He did share
The lack of realization in what had been said
That He would truly rise in glory after being dead
Not fully comprehending until in flesh we saw
Not understanding exactly what it took to undo the law
An incomplete knowledge of the cost of grace
Of the sacrifice it would take to show love to the human race
There are still those today who refuse to believe Christ was risen from the dead
Because of their denial of the truth in the holy word to which they are led
They state it can’t be proven, I don’t understand, it can’t be true
That the Son of God would come and die to save everyone and not just those He knew
The Lord’s miracle of the resurrection would no longer be a miracle,
if everything we could prove and understand
Therefore realize that some things man was not meant to comprehend
and these things we need to trust to God’s hand

here is the story that goes with the poem from yesterday
The Tale of the Three Trees A classic tale told with a Christmas theme
Three trees
Three trees do we understand
Three trees do we trust His hand
Three trees sometimes surrender costs everything
Three trees will we trust, worship and sing
Three trees on a hill chosen to show
Three trees cut down to grow
Three trees learning to release our hold
Three trees warning so hearts aren’t cold
Three trees emphasizing what is true
Three trees letting life be made anew
Three trees showing a treasure all can’t see
Three trees learning to be free
Three trees freedom means surrendering to his will
Three trees cut down can still sing by learning to be quiet and still
Three trees shaped by the master’s hand
Three trees help us all understand

Truth and love
Struggling to see
Anchor to tree
Water is deep
My heart keep
Help me shine
Strength not mine
What’s at stake
Heart does break
Tragic and true
Stand with few
Wrong or right
Show the light
Freedom’s not free
Some won’t see
More than voice
Consequence of choice
Lies cover sin
Brokenness can’t win
Truth and love
Honor God above

Drop my anchor
Drop my anchor, so I can see
Make sure I am anchored to the tree
Set my feet upon the rock
Teach myself to ask, seek, and knock
Release the burdens I choose to carry
God gives rest so I am not weary
Come to Him to learn to truly live
Joy beyond circumstances He does give
Learning to see beyond the wave and storm
Understanding my life should not be the norm
Faint is our foundations on which I build
Therefore my life to Him I now yield

Gifts
The gift of grace
Mercy shown
The gift of prescence
Not alone
The gift of love
Held tight
The gift of discernment
Guiding light
The gift of peace
Heart content
The gift of life

To…
To understand, means to count the cost
To bow, means everything lost
To follow, means to stand and fight
To disciple, means show light
To believe, means action is taken
To commit, means sin forsaken
To surrender, means to release my grip
To pursue, means to burn the ship
To seek, means to hunt for the truth
To stand, means to sometimes be uncouth
To speak, means to give up my voice
To love, means there is only one choice

Cost to Follow
No more hollow
Cost to follow
More than me
Blind now see
Cross to bear
Gospel now share
Called to love
True north above
Beyond my feeling
Embrace the healing
Truth doesn’t change
My life rearrange
Priorities now shift
Praises I lift
Reality the same
Crying out Name
Eternity now clear
Draw me near
