Acushnet Lion Club Fishing Derby 2026! We had 21 participants ages 5-13 years old. Each caught at least one fish and all were smiling and happy throughout the event! We were joined by Miss Apple Peach, who took initiative to walk up and down Lake St. picking up trash. Thank you for the donations from Gary's Best Hot Dogs, Dee's Hot Dogs, Acushnet Creamery, John's Bait and Tackle, Dunkin' Donuts. Thank you to all who came with their families today. The Acushnet Lions Club was proud to donate to the Zeiterion in New Bedford in memory of Lion Larry Stone and his wife Cindy. Their chairs will welcome in visitors to the newly renovated theater for years to come!
They have the best seats in the house for all the future NB Symphony, NB Festival Theater, and other wonderful performances!
