Hi Everyone,
ABMC is excited to hold our annual on-site contest on April 5th, 2025 at the Raymond J. Grey Junior High School (16 Charter Rd, Acton, MA 01720)!
The contest will consist of a speed, accuracy, and team round. The problems encompass a wide range of difficulty, suitable for competition math beginners and veterans alike. Prizes will be awarded to high-scoring individuals and teams.
ABMC is committed to bring an exciting touch to the world of competition math. Competitors will interact with over 200 passionate students, facing off and working together in an intense exercise in problem-solving skills.

Hi Everyone,
ABMC is excited to host our first monthly online contest of the year!
The ABMC October contest will take place next weekend (10/19-10/20) and will consist of fifteen problems ranging from easy, approachable problems to the hard AMC 8 problems. The contest will be released Saturday morning and competitors have until Sunday night to complete them.
Our online contests are free and no pre-registration is needed! The contest will be posted on our website (linked below) once the contest starts. ABMC is a great opportunity to improve your math skills and compare yourself to other strong competitors.

Hello Everyone,
We are excited to hold our eighth annual onsite competition on April 6th!
ABMC is a Mathcounts-style competition that is open to students in 8th grade or younger. The difficulty ranges from problems for beginners to Mathcounts National-level. You can register as a team of 2-4 people or as an individual, with the option to be randomly assigned to a team.Prizes are awarded to high-scoring competitors and teams.
Our problems are written by former Mathcounts competitors, including JMO and AMO qualifiers. ABMC is a good opportunity to compete against some of the best competitors from around the area. Our 2023 competition drew nearly 200 competitors.
Registration is open on our website, abmathcompetitions.org. More information, including rules, are also on our website. It costs $20 if you register online and $25 if you register in-person on competition day. Email us at [email protected] with any questions.

Hello everyone,

No pre-registration is necessary, and participation is free! Once the problems are released, an answer submission form will also be posted on our website where all you will need to do is provide your name, grade, school, and email. Hey everyone!
The 4th annual Acton-Boxborough Math Competition (ABMC) is quickly approaching. This year's ABMC will be held online on Saturday, April 25th, starting at 11 AM EST. The competition is open to all who haven't entered high school. No preregistration is needed, and the competition is free!
Thanks to increased funding, ABMC is pleased to present AoPS gift certificates, calculators, 50 Wolfram Alpha subscriptions, free math classes, and math textbooks to top-scorers!
Prizes will be awarded to top students in the online contests, top students at ABMC, and top scorers on each team. In addition, prizes will be raffled among all contestants.
