Boys In Motion, inspired by Keith Haring. There’s something about this project that’s captured the hearts and minds of my 4th and 5th graders, and I love the results! 😍

This morning, and every morning, I’m so thankful to be back in a beautiful space, teaching art (and learning a lot) with awesome kids and colleagues.

Seasonal still life drawings: 6th and 7th graders loved blending chalk pastels and exploring shape, form, overlapping, space, and perspective in this three-class assignment. What a fun week! These drawings are 18”x24”!
Each student also completed a reflection exercise which asked them to choose three Studio Habits of Mind that they felt they exercised the most while working on this project. 💜💙❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I’m back in the classroom and loving every minute of it! 💗 Color studies from this week’s classes. Painted paper (still can’t get enough of this process!) color theory for 4th and 5th grades and color mixing with acrylics for the 6th and 7th grades.
