Supercharger Saturday!

We recently completed a complete RIPP Supercharger kit install on Marco's Challenger.

This kits fitment was on point and we are really happy with the outcome!

Dyno results will be posted once our AWD Dynocom 2000 Hub Dyno arrives!

Wheel/Tire Wednesday!

We supplied a new set of Aodhan AH06 wheels for a customer with a 370z. These wheels got paired with some Hoosier tires as the car is a track only vehicle.

Another customer got new tires on their MazdaSpeed Miata wheels.

Truck Tuesday!

John brought us his Ram 2500 for an odd issue. The truck had power, but no longer displayed any of the gears on the dash which was resulting in a no-crank-no-start condition as the truck had no idea if it was in park or neutral.

Upon testing, we had found that the PCM had an internal short with the PCM fuse popping every time the harness connector was put back on.

We got a replacement PCM unit and the truck was able to turn on. To our surprise, it still did not display any gears on the dash, but it did crank and run. Although running, the speedometer and the right side gauges on the cluster did not function. It also generated a check engine light that lead us to our next faulty part.

The next part we replaced was the TIPM which corrected the new check engine light faults within the TCM. At this point, we noticed that we did not have communication with the new PCM itself. After hunting diagrams and scanning the systems, we noticed that the ABS light was on and we could not communicate with the ABS module either.

We then disconnected the ABS module and it brought back to life the gauge cluster, the gear display, speedometer and restored connection with the new PCM.

From there, we replaced the ABS module and began road testing. It was then noted that we got a new check engine light and the truck was stuck in 2nd gear.

Out of curiosity, we pulled the tune file from the truck with HP Tuners and found that it had a manual transmission operating system which made sense why the truck would not shift.

We communicated with the company we got the ECM from and they were able to send us another ECM with an automatic transmission OS on it which resolved the shifting concern allowing us to return John's truck back to him in normal working order.

Mitsubishi Monday!

Rob brought in his Montero for a ticking/tapping noise.

We were able to determine the timing belt auto tensioner had failed so we replaced it with a new one.

While tearing down the timing belt area, we noticed a leak at the water pump so we fixed that while we were in there.

Wheel/tire Wednesday!

More tires mounted and balanced with our Snap-On tire machine and balancer!

Transmission Tuesday!

Dan brought us the transmission from his R33 GTR for an OEM refresh. We used new parts from and sourced some other hard to find parts through other outlets to replace what was needed.
