Our first round of Story Walks are up! Stop by and read a story at the walking track in Ackerman, Weir, or next to the coffee shop in French Camp!

We will rotate the stories through the different towns every two weeks to keep the stories fresh all summer long!

Summer Reading is officially underway, and we've got a fun-filled week ahead with storytimes, crafts, live birds of prey, a readers' meetup, and more!

Summer Reading starts here! 📚☀️

Join us May 26–29 at the Ackerman and Weir Branch Libraries for Summer Reading Registration Week. Sign up for the program, pick up your bingo reading sheets, and receive a registration bag filled with bookmarks, stickers, and other fun surprises. Readers of all ages are welcome—we can't wait to spend the summer reading with you!

In observance of Memorial Day, the Choctaw County Library System's Ackerman and Weir branches will be closed on Monday, May 25.

We honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We will resume normal hours on Tuesday. 🇺🇸

Join us tomorrow, May 19 at 4:30 p.m. at the Ackerman Library for a fun afternoon of bingo hosted by the MDCPS Recruitment Unit!

This event is open to everyone, so bring a friend and come enjoy games, prizes, and community fun at the library!

Join us for a special Friends of the Library community program on Thursday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Choctaw County Library! 🌿📚

Enjoy an evening of gardening tips, small business advice, social media ideas, finger foods, free plants, and great conversation with guest speakers from Dry Bottoms Farms and Nursery and the Mississippi State University Extension Service.

This event is free and open to the public — bring a friend and come spend the evening with us!
