Furnaces are fired up for the winter!
This is the 3rd one this week leaking condensation inside the upper cabinet.
It only takes a few minutes to check, but the water can do some expensive damage if you don’t know about it.

Anyone looking for some unique flooring ideas. This one will test your patience. Definitely not a 1 day install. 😳😜

A perfect example of what can happen when you save a few bucks and not hire a professional. Under-sized wires on this 30 amp breaker melted and caught fire in this water heater.

Some new construction buyers will skip a home inspection thinking everything must be good…it’s brand new. That is true for most part, but not always. Today’s home had some damp carpet and possible mold on an exterior wall in a finished basement.
New, older or anything in between should be professionally inspected prior to purchase to save some headaches and expense after you sign the closing papers.

I’ll have to start looking up before I climb up from now on. I stood up and this monstrosity was at about eye level. All parties remained calm and went about our business. 🐝 🐝 😳😎

I managed to save this poor armless creature from the landscape netting this morning. This stuff sure is hard on snakes. I’m not a huge fan of snakes, but that’s no way to die.

A little unexpected surprise at my Monday morning inspection. These small roof leaks were definitely not visible without a thermal camera. These repairs will be much easier now before the the drywall needs to also be replaced.

Thermal imaging is a tool every inspector should be carrying. This would have been an easy catch as part of the attic inspection, but what if it’s not in an accessible part of the attic?
It’s any easy fix and happy it was discovered before it did any significant damage.

Reason #458 why you should schedule a complete home inspection when purchasing, or even if you’ve owned the home for some time. This water heater flue was likely disconnected by the roofers when the new shingles were installed 3+ yrs ago. 😳🫣
